Limited Warranty
Engine and Short block warranties are to the original purchaser for
3 year or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Warranty includes 1 yr. 12,000 mile
installation labor. Engines are sold on an exchange basis. PLEASE
REFER TO CORE POLICY ADDENDUM #2.
Warranty for engines used for commercial, industrial, heavy duty, towing and off road is
90 days or 3,000 miles. For High Performance Engine Warranty SEE
ADDENDUM #3. Auto repairs and parts
are warranted for 90 days or 3,000 miles. Used parts or customer furnished parts and labor
are not covered by warranty. Car maintenance seriously affects engine longevity
(especially valve life). Because of this, we must insist that maintenance be done in
strict accordance with our break-in procedure and maintenance instruction sheet.
Manufacturers maintenance requirements and maintenance receipts and records with mileage
must be kept, in order to keep the warranty valid. A melted or removed heat tab voids
engine warranty. Additional auto parts and labor with engine sale or installation are
warranted for 90 days or 3,000 miles or the manufacturers warranty, clutches, water pump,
etc. Head gaskets are not covered under the warranty unless they were improperly installed
by us. Engine warning light activation, computer, sensor or sending unit activation SEE ADDENDUM #6. Previous
repairs, seats, cracks etc., and factory flame hardened seats are not covered under this
warranty. SEE ADDENDUM #4 FOR
OPTIONAL UNLEADED PACKAGE. Oil leaks, not seeps, are covered under warranty.
Some minor oil seepage is considered normal and is not covered under warranty. Front and
rear main seals, camshaft and jack shaft seals are POSITIVELY not covered after 90 days or
3,000 miles. SEE ADDENDUM #7 FOR LEAKS AND SEEPS POLICY. Oil
consumption in excess of 800 miles per quart can be considered excessive, and can be
warranted if a consumption report is furnished. Engines heads, blocks, rods and crank
shafts are not warranted against failure caused by factory engineering defects. EXHAUST LEAKS ARE NOT COVERED UNDER THIS WARRANTY SEE ADDENDUM #7. TURBO OR SUPERCHARGED
ENGINES HAVE A 6 MONTH or 6,000 MILE WARRANTY. (ANY DISPUTES ARISING
UNDER THIS POLICY IS AGREED BETWEEN THE PARTIES TO BE ARBITRATED BY BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU
OF AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR OR OTHER ARBITRATION AGREEABLE TO BOTH PARTIES.) THERE ARE NO
REFUNDS, SALE IS NOT CANCELABLE AFTER CONTRACT IS ENTERED INTO.
LIMITED WARRANTY POLICIES
Under this warranty, the assembly or any parts of the assembly will be repaired or
replaced without charge (within the warranty period), if the failure (in our opinion or a
consortium of experts) was due to defective parts or workmanship furnished by us. Damage
claims not the direct result of our parts or workmanship will not be accepted. The
installing mechanic is responsible for verifying the correct parts before installation and
the proper installation and adjusting. Under no circumstances will claims be recognized
for consequential damage or accept liability for units damaged through improper
installation (made by mechanics other than ours). Abuse, undue strain, lodging, towing,
rentals, oil, antifreeze, lost time, etc., are not covered under warranty. AN ADJUSTMENT
UNDER THE WARRANTY DOES NOT EXTEND THE WARRANTY PERIOD. DRIVING A VEHICLE AFTER A DEFECT
IS APPARENT IS CONSIDERED DRIVER NEGLECT. The original problem is under warranty, but the
consequential damages are not. The owner of the vehicle is responsible for the care of his
property. Any vehicle or unit disassembled or repaired, by us, not covered under this
warranty, is subject to charges for parts and labor PLEASE REFER TO ADDENDUM #1 FOR A PARTIAL LIST OF FAILURES THAT ARE
NOT COVERED IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. ANY REPAIR OR MAINTENANCE DONE OTHER THAN BY OUR
MECHANICS BECOMES THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THAT PERSON OR REPAIR FACILITY.
NO OUTSIDE LABOR WARRANTY
No warranty claims will be considered for work done on a unit outside our plant. No
warranty claims will be accepted if the unit in question is dismantled, or if any parts of
the unit are missing. Engines not installed by us must be removed from the vehicle and
returned as purchased for warranty repair after an accurate diagnosis. Units
diagnosed incorrectly and returned for warranty are subject to parts, labor and diagnosis
charges. Under no circumstances can a warranty claim exceed the original purchase price.
Prior arrangement must be made with the company manager for an exception to this policy.
The repair then becomes the responsibility of that person or repair facility. This policy
is due to the very low original purchase price. If, in the customers opinion, our warranty
is not sufficient and an additional warranty is needed to protect their investment. We
suggest a extended warranty policy. SEE ADDENDUM #5. This warranty is to be
purchased by the customer directly from an insurance company. We are in no way affiliated
with any insurance company. The performance of the insurance company is their sole
responsibility.
