ADDENDUM #6
ENGINE WARNING LIGHT, COMPUTER, SENSORS AND
SENDING UNIT POLICY
A common problem after an engine replacement
is for an engine warning light to activate, caused by computer or sensor failures. Sending
units including, oil and water sensor have a tendency to leak or read incorrect. This is
unavoidable for these sensitive units, especially the original. After many years or miles
they cannot stand removal and replacement, they are also far too costly to replace as a
preventative maintenance. Diagnosis of these failures are sometimes highly complex and
need to go to a specialty shop for diagnosis and repair at the customers expense.
Our policy is for the first 30 days we will attempt to diagnose the problem at a no labor
charge, the customer will have to pay for any parts. After 30 days it will be diagnosed at
the customers expense. After 30 days our posted per hour labor rate will apply plus
parts if diagnosis and repair is agreed to be done at our facility.
